A door for your AI, built in the open
Catflap lets AI apps use tools on your own computer through a private tunnel that you can close at any time. The desktop app, the command line and the server are all open source, so you can use a hosted server like this one or run your own.
Who makes Catflap
Catflap is developed at Obuda University within HUN-REN AI1Science, the AI-First Science programme of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network, which helps researchers make AI a working part of their research.
Everyone who contributed is in the project's history.
Contribute
Report a problem, suggest an idea or send a change. The contributing guide explains how to build and test Catflap.
License
MIT. Use, change and share Catflap freely, also on your own servers. Its third-party components keep their own licenses.
Run your own server
The gateway, this website and the sign-in pages (a Keycloak theme) are open source too: one container beside PostgreSQL and Keycloak. You need a domain with HTTPS and an email account for sign-up emails. The desktop app and the command line work with any Catflap server.
$ git clone https://codeberg.org/hollorol/catflap.git $ cd catflap/deploy && cp .env.example .env # set your domain, passwords and SMTP account in .env, then $ podman compose --profile tls up -d
This server
catflap.uni-obuda.hu is a Catflap server run by whoever set it up; it does not name its operator.
